Job Description
This dualrole position requires a skilled individual who will operate machinery and equipment while also performing sampling duties to ensure the quality and safety of materials or environmental factors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate operation and maintenance of equipment as well as collecting and documenting samples for analysis or compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Operation:
- Operate and monitor relevant machinery equipment or automated systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning within specified parameters and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Sampling:
- Collect samples of materials products or environmental elements (e.g. water air soil) for testing and analysis.
- Ensure samples are gathered at appropriate intervals or stages in the process according to established protocols.
- Label and store samples appropriately to maintain their integrity until analysis.
Data Management:
- Document all sampling activities including time location and methods used.
- Record operational data monitor performance indicators and log equipment readings accurately.
- Ensure all sampling and operational records are properly maintained and accessible for analysis.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure that sampling procedures comply with industry standards regulations and company policies.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of sample results and help identify potential issues with product quality or safety.
- Maintain an understanding of relevant safety and environmental regulations and follow all required protocols during both sampling and operational tasks.
Safety and Cleanliness:
- Adhere to all health safety and environmental protocols.
- Ensure work area is clean safe and organized following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in safety training and emergency drills as needed.
Qualifications :
- 12 Years experience (Mining/Mineral Lab Sampling activities)
- Physically fit to handle and carry out Plant sampling Sample preparation and cleaning activities of the Iron ore pelletizing Lab and Sampling points
- Completion of Grade 12(High School)
- Fluent in English(Verbal & Written)
