Job Description
We are currently seeking a Business Controller for our client within retail with a focus on technology and financial management. This is a one year contract position with a chance of extension. The client is a world known scandinavian brand.
In this role you will work closely with stakeholders and senior leaders both within and outside of the Business Tech department. Your primary responsibility will be to guide and support your business units driving continuous improvement and fostering a strong business mindset around investments to maximize value in line with company objectives. You will also ensure robust financial control and a clear understanding of our spending.
As a Business Controller youll be an essential part of a collaborative team working daily alongside other controllers. We are looking for someone who communicates effectivelyclear inspiring and inclusiveand has the ability to influence empower and motivate others. Youll also contribute to a positive work culture where open and honest feedback is encouraged. We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and approaches new challenges and ways of working with an open mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the budgeting forecasting and reporting processes for your units consolidating financial reports for Business Tech.
- Manage monthly financial cutoff activities.
- Provide analysis and guidance for strategic decisions and their implementation.
- Monitor and control specific financial flows such as recharge costs invoices and accruals.
- Ensure data accuracy in relevant systems and financial sources.
- Contribute to continuous optimization of budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Conduct analysis and investigations to drive business impact and cost consciousness.
- Educate and inform Business Tech leaders about financial planning and performance tracking.
- Support and oversee purchase processes including invoice handling and contract agreements.
- Participate in the entire process from analysis and setting shortterm goals to longterm strategy development challenging current business practices.
- Demonstrate leadership entrepreneurial spirit and a strategic mindset.
- Exhibit a genuine curiosity and interest in both technology and financial management.
Profile
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar Controller role preferably in a global company.
- A relevant academic degree in business economics or related field.
- A solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Strong ability to facilitate constructive communication collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Fluent in English both written and spoken.
