Recruiter – Legal – Maternity Contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Recruiter who lives either the Vancouver or Toronto area to join our team for a 13.5month maternity contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive recruitment success to new heights. The position has the potential to become permanent subject to company performance. Toronto candidates please be advised you will be asked to work closer to PST office hours.

As a Recruiter at Arlyn Recruiting you will support recruitment activities and outcomes while collaborating with senior team members. You will leverage our industryleading Applicant Tracking System (ATS) AI and other technologies to enhance efficiency. Your role involves sourcing processing and evaluating candidates utilizing communication interviewing and emotional intelligence skills to prepare candidates for client opportunities. Additionally you will manage job orders craft effective job postings and source talent through platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed contributing to the overall success of our recruiting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment Management:

  • Support and manage the endtoend recruitment process in collaboration with senior recruiters.

Recruiting Procedures and Strategies:

  • Follow and enhance fundamental recruiting workflows and procedures.
  • Continuously review and refine recruiting strategies to improve historical results.

ATS Management:

  • Leverage ATS candidate features to build relationships within our candidate and client networks.
  • Process and evaluate incoming candidates maintaining accurate and current records.

Candidate Communication and Assessment:

  • Implement a comprehensive communication plan for candidates throughout the recruitment workflow.
  • Manage candidate assessments including interviews evaluations and feedback.
  • Present qualified candidates to senior recruiters and occasionally to clients ensuring a clear understanding of each candidate’s qualifications and suitability.

Job Order Management:

  • Maintain accurate and timely records for all open job orders.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective job marketing strategies.
  • Utilize job boards LinkedIn and other sourcing tools to attract top talent and identify passive candidates.
  • Communicate job order details effectively using clear and engaging writing.
  • Ensure successful job order completion with the support of senior recruiters meeting company expectations and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Must be located in either Vancouver or Toronto able to meet in our office from time to time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
  • 25 years of recruiting experience in an agency or law firm setting.
  • Experience in legal recruiting is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes policies and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
  • Proficiency with O365 tools.
  • Comfort with leveraging AI to enhance efficiency and output.
  • Excellent communication emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Collaborative positive and deliberate approach to working with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Detailoriented with a resultsdriven focus on building quality professional relationships.

Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $60000 per year.

  • Commission: 2.5% on each placement worked on increasing to 5% after the third month paid monthly in arrears.

  • Vacation: 2 weeks per year.

  • Remote Work: 100% workfromhome with occasional office meetings.

  • Monthly Stipend: $50 for phone and home internet service (Recruiter must have fast internet and a modern phone).

Schedule and Reporting:

  • Reporting to the Director of Recruitment.
  • Schedule: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm PST with a 30minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Flexibility and worklife balance are highly valued.
  • Positive communication to support our team clients and candidates.
  • Tools provided include a laptop Office 365 Windows 11 Pro soft phone ATS access and additional resources as needed.
  • Ongoing training and daily mentorship from senior managers.
