Job Description

We are currently looking for a merchant for our regional merchandising office in Boucherville. Reporting to the Director Origination for Eastern Canada the merchant is responsible for the origination of grain in Quebec and Eastern Ontario as well as commercial activities in the Eastern Canadian market.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute an origin strategy and merchandising program for grains and oilseeds
Manage associated risk analyze market factors and trends
Develop new business in the region by maximizing opportunities by increasing purchases and sales and ensuring longterm customer satisfaction
Establish and maintain commercial relationships with suppliers and consumers
Prepare merchandising contracts

Qualifications:
Fluency in English and French
Degree in agriculture commerce or another related field
At least 35 years of experience in merchandising sales or grain supply
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional business partners
Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
Proven skills in analysis risk management and negotiation
