Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

AS a Cashier at Hamad M Al Rugaib , you will be the first and last point of contact for our customers, creating a positive and memorable shopping experience. You will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:
Greet customers promptly and courteously.
Assist customers with questions about products, prices, and store policies.
Process customer payments accurately and efficiently using various payment methods (cash, credit cards, debit cards).
Issue receipts and handle returns or exchanges.
Resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
Cash Handling:
Operate the cash register and balance the drawer at the end of each shift.
Follow all cash handling procedures to prevent theft and errors.
Handling Transactions
Process sales transactions: Accurately scan or enter items into the system, apply any discounts or promotions, and ensure the correct total amount is charged to the customer.
Accept payments: Process payments through various methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, or gift cards. Ensure that the transaction is completed accurately.
Give correct change: If a customer pays with cash, provide the correct change in a timely and accurate manner.
Issue receipts: Provide customers with receipts for their purchases, either printed or digital, and ensure they are clear and correct.
Customer Service
Greet customers: Provide a warm, friendly greeting to customers as they approach the register. Ensure they feel welcome and valued.
Assist with inquiries: Answer customer questions regarding pricing, product information, and promotions, or direct them to appropriate store staff for more specific assistance.
Resolve complaints: Handle customer complaints or issues regarding transactions, returns, or exchanges in a calm and professional manner, offering solutions where possible.
Promote loyalty programs: Encourage customers to join store loyalty programs, provide information about discounts or promotions, and upsell products when appropriate.
