Manager Internal Audit (Actuarial & Risk)
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a skilled professional to lead and manage complex internal audit engagements focused on actuarial processes. Reporting to the Director Internal Audit this Torontobased role will collaborate with actuarial teams across North America to strengthen risk awareness and enhance the control environment. What is in it for you:
Salaried: $48 to $52 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $55 to $60 per hour.
18month contract for maternity leave coverage.
Possibility for extension or permanent hire.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Work hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Hybrid role with office presence required on Tuesdays.

Responsibilities:
Conduct and manage complex actuarial audit engagements from planning through execution to reporting.
Monitor the progress of audit projects ensuring objectives are met and providing leadership throughout the process.
Prepare and review internal audit reports delivering findings and recommendations to management.
Lead audit meetings with key stakeholders.
Monitor audit findings to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Assist in developing the annual audit plan for the assigned client group.
What you will need to succeed:
CPA or CIA designation preferred.
Financial services industry experience preferred.
3 years of internal/external audit experience and/or actuarial experience.
Strong technical audit skills with a solid understanding of risk and controls.
Experience with audit techniques including planning scoping project management and evaluating/testing internal controls.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate influence and network effectively.
Strong problemsolving analytical and critical thinking skills.
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of control frameworks (e.g. COSO COBIT)
