Job Description
Currently TEA (Texas Education Agency) is a CAPPS HUB Agency. The goal of this position (which will be in the Finance division) is to review and assist the lead analysts with the current configuration instance for efficiency and to evaluate for best use cases moving forward that will may reduce workload on staff resources and increase accuracy in reporting and reduce maintenance of the existing systems.
This will will include working with crossdivisional executives directors and other stakeholders as directed by the CFO to review current TCAPPS business processes which will include but is not limited to:
- Coordinate the necessary functional and technical resources when collaboration is required.
- Assist with reengineering or developing processes necessary for efficient use of the CAPPS Financial system.
- Working with business customers to gather requirements for the system and/or process improvements and report development.
- Provide input to project management to estimate the level of effort required for customer requested activities.
- Prepare detailed documentation in support of any of the activities listed above as requested by management
- Complete full range of testing and configuration as needed.
- Design Test and Build Queries to assist with business process improvement.
- Assist with All Activity Query Validation
Required
- 10 years Experience with CAPPS Business Process Design/Redesign/Reengineering best practices
- 10 years Experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement
- 10 years Experience with the development of various reporting mechanisms
- 10 years Experience with ERP/CAPPS Financials/PeopleSoft in Texas
- 10 years Proficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products
- 10 years Experience with Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- 10 years Experience with CAPPS GL Commitment Control PurchasingEProcurement APCash Receipts Inv Assets and Grants
- 10 years PeopleSoft Financial modules implementation and postgo live experience with an emphasis on process improvement
- 10 yearsLedger Reconfiguration Impact Testing and Reconciliation
- 5 years Experience with the AllActivity Query Logic in CAPPS
- 100% Remote Work Location Within the United States Austin Region Preferred as possible inperson meetings may be required. No Travel will be paid.
