Job Description
Job title Manager Logistics & Warehouse
Work Location Aluva Cochin
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Management
Develop and oversee e icient logistics systems for sourcing raw materials processing
and delivering the products to the warehouse located in Cochin
Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely availability of products.
2. Transportation Coordination
Plan and manage domestic and international transportation of the products.
Negotiate contracts with freight carriers and shipping agents for coste ective and
reliable delivery.
Optimize routes and schedules to minimize transit time and costs.
3. Customs Compliance
Ensure all international shipments comply with export and import regulations.
Prepare and verify all the documents required for the customs clearance.
Coordinate with customs brokers and authorities for clearance of goods.
4. Inventory & Storage Management
Oversee warehousing operations to ensure proper storage of marble slabs tiles or
blocks.
Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Implement inventory management systems to track product movement.
5. Cost Management
Monitor and control logistics budgets including transportation storage and insurance
costs.
Identify costsaving opportunities without compromising service quality.
Analyze freight rates tari s and other associated expenses.
6. Quality Assurance
Ensure that the products are handled carefully to prevent damage during transit and
storage.
Inspect shipments for compliance with client specifications and quality standards.
Manage claims and disputes arising from damaged or lost goods.

Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse environment complying with safety

Manage and train warehouse sta and logistics personnel. Ensure that there is optimum
number of warehouse personnel available at any given point of time.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse and logistics
operations.
11. Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare reports on inventory levels stock turnover and logistics performance & other
reports as & when required by the management.
Maintain accurate records of shipments inventory and warehouse activities.
Stay updated on international trade laws including tari s duties and embargoes.
Implement environmentally sustainable logistics practices such as optimizing
packaging and reducing emissions.
