Job Description
The billing and collection specialist is responsible for capturing company revenues and creating value for the company by assisting customers in understanding their account balances and paying bills.
Key Responsibility:
- Handling all incoming calls related to billing from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm in the US Eastern Time Zone.
- The billing and collection specialist must follow up on overdue accounts for collections as per the monthly open invoices report. This involves reviewing the report regularly and identifying accounts that are past due or have outstanding balances.
- Handling all incoming calls and outgoing calls related to collections from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm in the US Eastern Time Zone.
- As a billing and collection specialist one of the key responsibilities is to generate invoices for various services provided by the company.
- By performing these tasks daily or weekly the specialist helps to ensure that our organization remains financially stable and that all customers are properly billed for the services they receive. This helps to maintain a positive relationship with customers.
- External billing requests may come from customers.
- Internal billing requests may come from various departments within the organization such as sales marketing or operations
- Processing sales deals & contracts for new and existing Accounts for signed agreements and large purchases.
- Management (Must approve processing refunds & authorized returns first).
- Generate Reports for various aspects including (Collections Report Handle AR Updating Report and Payments Report & MTD Billing Report)
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Two years of Experience as a billing & collection specialist.
- One year of Customer Service Experience (Call Center Experience) is necessary.
- Prior Experience in Billing and collections is a Plus (Jr. Employee)
