At this exciting stage of our growth we are looking for a resultsdriven Associate Director of Project Management to play a pivotal role in establishing a highperforming project management team and delivering exceptional projects that shape the UKs critical infrastructure.
The Role
As our Associate Director of Project Management you will lead the establishment of a highperforming project management team overseeing complex projects while driving strategic business growth. This senior leadership role balances handson project delivery with highlevel strategic input contributing directly to the companys expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development:
Build lead and inspire a highperforming project management team.
Foster a collaborative supportive and resultsfocused team culture.
Project Delivery & Oversight:
Oversee the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects ensuring they are completed safely on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Act as a key decisionmaker in project execution and contract management.
Strategic & Business Growth:
Support longterm business growth by identifying new opportunities and developing key client relationships in the utilities rail energy/renewables and highways sectors.
Contribute to strategic business planning and align projects with overall business objectives.
Operational Excellence:
Manage resources budgets and priorities effectively across multiple projects.
Drive continuous improvement ensuring best practices in project methodologies and risk management.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage confidently with senior stakeholders including clients regulators and contractors to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Act as a key representative for the business in industry forums and networking events.
What Were Looking For
We are seeking a confident proactive leader with a passion for delivering exceptional infrastructure projects and building outstanding teams.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience building and managing highperforming project management teams.
Strong track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects in sectors such as utilities rail energy/renewables or highways.
Minimum of 8 years experience in project management including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience working for a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) an Independent Connections Provider (ICP) or utilities management experience desirable.
Expertise in project management methodologies and frameworks (Chartered APM RICS or NEC4 certifications are advantageous).
Strong understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations and health & safety best practices.
Commercial and financial acumen with experience managing budgets and resources.
Strong negotiation communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic mindset with a focus on aligning projects to wider business objectives.
