Job Description
We currently have casual Grade 2 positions available at Epworth Geelong based in Waurn Ponds.
This casual role offers the opportunity to assess manage and provide clientcentred intervention to inpatients and outpatients experiencing swallowing communication and cognitive impairments following an acquired brain injury.
You will make an impact with your:
- Strong knowledge within the assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders and how these can have a direct impact on a patients overall health and quality of life.
- Ability to provide evidencebased patientcentred care
- Ability to work collaboratively and confidently within the multidisciplinary team
- Strong timemanagement and prioritisation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
To be successful in the role you will:
- Have experience working in the acute and subacute settings across a variety of caseloads (eg: stroke progressive neurological conditions head & neck oncology respiratory and general medical)
- Be competent (or working towards) administering and interpreting video fluoroscopy studies and or Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of the swallow.
- Show evidence of your commitment to your ongoing learning and skill development
- Show accountability and compassion in the workplace
- Show evidence of your involvement in supporting students and peers (Grade 2 roles only)
