Job Description

Our team is expanding and seeking a junior License Manager to support our Senior License Manager who is overseeing and managing all software licenses and subscriptions used internally ensuring compliance optimizing costs and enhancing the value derived from software investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • License Management: Oversee the endtoend license management process including procurement deployment tracking and ongoing maintenance. 

  • Compliance and Audit: Maintain compliance with software license agreements and accurate records of licenses/subscriptions. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and proactively resolve any issues. 

  • Vendor Relations: Manage and maintain relationships with software vendors. Negotiate favorable terms for license agreements and collaborate with procurement and legal teams to review contracts. 

  • Cost Optimization: Analyze license utilization to find costsaving opportunities. Implement strategies to optimize license use and negotiate volume pricing discounts. 

  • Renewals and Upgrades: Track and manage license expiration dates to coordinate timely renewals and avoid disruptions. Evaluate new software releases for organizational suitability. 

  • Internal Training and Support: Train and guide internal stakeholders on licensing policies compliance and best practices. Serve as the primary contact for licenserelated support. 

  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed records of licenses including activation keys and user data. Create reports on compliance utilization and cost savings for management. 


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in information technology computer science or a related field. 

  • Excellent analytical skills for interpreting and acting on license utilization data. 

  • Strong affinity with IT ideally with IT education. 

  • Good organizational skills and high attention to detail. 

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Ideally experience in license management or similar role at a previous organization. 

  • Ideally some understanding of software licensing models compliance regulations and best practices. 

  • Ideally experience with license management tools and software asset management systems is preferred.
