Job Description

Site: University Centre Toronto Rehab Institute
Department:  Specialized Dementia Unit 
Reports to: Manager Program Services
Hours:  0.6 FTE
Salary: $24.82 $31.02 per hour  (to commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Status: Temporary PartTime (April 1 2025 April 1 2026)
Shifts: Days
Closing Date:  January 28 2025

The Administrative Assistant II exercises judgment and independence in the performance of secretarial activities.

Duties 


Qualifications :

    • Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent
    • Completion of a post secondary office administration  program at the diploma level or equivalent
    • Three (3) years related administrative support experience
    • Previous onthejob computer/wordprocessing database and spreadsheet software experience ; experience in a Microsoft Office environment preferred
    • Previous supervisory experience preferred
    • Excellent organizational time management and prioritization skills 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 
    • Excellent knowledge of health care organizational/office practices procedures and standards 
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to work in a team work environment
    • Ability to maintain  confidentiality
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    • Ability to use good judgment is assessing difficult situations
    • Ability to produce high quality work in accordance with Hospital standards  
    • Ability to work well under pressure and  use good judgment in assessing difficult situations
    • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset
    • Experience working in a health care environment an asset
    • Experience working in a teaching hospital environment an asset
    • Previous experience with UHN programs and/or EPIC experience is an asset
    • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
