Job Description
The Team leader is responsible for the overall performance of the required services. His principal duties are as follows:
- Ensure the mobilisation of the technical team in accordance with the requests of the TOR of the project.
- Technical coordination of all the international and local experts based abroad and in PNG.
- Participate to recruitment of experts for shortterm assistance missions to the Team if needed.
- Long mission on site in PNG in POM to follow up the progress of the Design Team.
- Ensure that the Team provide the services required under the contract.
- Organise and participate in project meetings internally and with the client as per the Egis quality system.
- Issue instructions and directions to the Technical Team as necessary.
- Liaise with the Client on matters relating to technical documents performance of the teams potential variation orders.
- Support technically the team.
- Regular report to management
Qualifications :
- University degree in civil engineering or other relevant subject
- Experience as Team Leader for ADB (Asian Development Bank) or other International funding institutions.
- Exepricne of working in developing countries.
- Good knowledge and understanding of overall Design in road project.
- Knowledge of international design standards and guidelines such as AASHTO
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of technical matters
- Flexible reliable and resourceful
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Good conceptual thinking analytical thinking complex problem solving and decision making
- Strong impersonal ability coordination consulting and including negotiation
