Job Description

The Farm Attendant will assist in all aspects of farm operations on our diverse 9acre farm which combines sustainable agriculture with hospitality. Our farm supports Wildflower Farms farmtotable dining experience while creating engaging educational opportunities for guests of Wildflower Farms Working in our 2acre market garden you will help cultivate flowers and vegetables using sustainable methods.  The Farm Attendant will help with managing our livestock program which includes raising pork and lamb for our kitchen tending to our egglaying hens and caring for our two friendly donkeys. This position offers the chance to be at the intersection of hospitality and agriculture by connecting guests directly with the source of their food.  

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage plant life cycles from seeding to harvest including

    • Nursery operations and plant care
    • Transplanting weeding and trellising
    • Harvesting and proper crop maintenance
    • Fertilization and irrigation
  • Handle livestock care duties

    • Daily feeding and watering
    • Maintain fencing and rotation systems
    • Clean animal enclosures
  • Perform general farm maintenance

    • Operate equipment like weed whackers and walkbehind mowers
    • Process and pack vegetables
    • Fulfill kitchen orders
  • Engage with resort guests during farm visits and activities
  • Be an ambassador for our farmtotable dining philosophy

Pay Rate: $20/hour


Qualifications :

  • Genuine enthusiasm for local food production and farmtotable dining
  • Strong team player mentality
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow directions
  • Experience operating basic tools and small engines
  • Must have reliable personal transportation
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Positive guestoriented attitude
