Position Summary & Responsibilities
This position provides solutionoriented consultative training technical support and troubleshooting at customer sites and remotely on bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines. Effectively work with customers to achieve efficient implementation and go live of new instrumentation. Retain business collaborate with stakeholders.
This is a fieldbased position supporting New York City & Long Island territory. Candidates must reside within the territory or northern New Jersey or be willing to relocate. Extensive field travel is required average 25% overnight stays.
Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMérieux’s Quality System.
Coordinate and provide technical training consultation and ongoing support of bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines within the U.S. customer base.
Develop cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with all customers.
Answer internal and external customer inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in bioMérieux’s CRM system; consulting as appropriate with Sales Partners Application Specialists Field/System Engineers IT Resources Management teams and Local/Global Support Teams.
Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators.
Responsible for efficient territory management within operating expense budget.
Support bioMérieux revenue initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned and/or as business needs dictate.
Education Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in medical technology technical or life science field
1 years clinical laboratory experience or equivalent.
bioMérieux product experience preferred.
ASCP or MLT certifications preferred
Clinical Microbiology experience is highly desired
Laboratory Information System or Connectivity/Networking experience a plus.
Experience with guidelines with CLIA regulations and/or additional laboratory credentialing agencies preferred.
Experience with related technical field applications support strongly preferred.
Experience with bioMerieux products is a plus Vitek 2 Virtuo BacT Alert and/or MS Prime
Working Conditions And Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in stationary position often standing for prolonged periods
Ability to ascend/descend stairs ladders ramps and the like
Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day. Ability to operate heavy machinery
Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
Role
The estimated salary range for this role based in the New York City area is between $78000 and $110000 annually. This role is eligible to receive an annual bonus based on individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
