Job Description
As an intern on the Equity Market Making Desk you will gain handson experience in the fastpaced environment of equity trading. You will work alongside experienced traders and quantitative analysts learning about market dynamics trading strategies and risk management.
- Collaborate with senior traders to prepare reports and presentations on trading performance.
- Support the development and optimization of the trading system.
- Participate in team meetings providing insights and feedback based on your research.
- Help maintain and update trading systems and databases.
- Monitor and analyze market trends price movements and trading volumes.
- Learn about risk management practices and compliance within trading operations.
- Leverage spreadsheet analysis through technical solutions developed in Python including automating data processing enhancing data visualization and streamlining workflows through efficient scripting.
Qualifications :
- Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Finance Economics Mathematics Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with Python including basic data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as PandasTkinter and NumPy.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets including the ability to use functions charts and pivot tables.
- Keen interest in financial markets trading concepts and investment strategies.
- Basic understanding of risk management practices and compliance regulations is a plus.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends or insights.
- Strong attention to detail when working with data and preparing reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support senior traders.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas and findings.
- Excellent English communication skills (German is advantageous but not necessary).
