Job Description
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical insights and recommendations to ensure that design concepts are feasible within the Magento framework.
Design develop and deploy custom Magento modules and extensions to enhance website functionality and meet business requirements.
Write clean efficient and welldocumented code to translate design mockups into functional Magento templates.
Create technical documentation for modules themes and customizations.
Proactively address security risks and concerns to safeguard customer data.
Customize and integrate thirdparty extensions and APIs to extend Magentos functionality and integrate with external systems (payment gateways shipping providers CRM systems etc.).
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the Magento development team.
Stay updated with the latest trends tools and technologies in the ecommerce ecosystem.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders providing updates on progress and solutions.
Lead code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and a maintainable codebase.
Identify and resolve interface and layout issues for optimal user interactions.
Conduct rigorous testing debugging and quality assurance to enhance website speed and user experience.
Establish QA processes and best practices within the development lifecycle.
Create test plans conduct manual and automated testing and ensure software quality.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field is required.
At least 5 years of experience in a Senior developer role.
Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms and technologies including payment gateways shopping carts and inventory management systems.
Proficiency in fullstack development adept in both frontend and backend technologies.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities capable of guiding and motivating crossfunctional teams.
Indepth knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools with a focus on both manual and automated testing.
Familiarity with Zoho One Applications is preferred
Expertise in Magento2
Prior knowledge should include extensive experience with design software such as Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop and Adobe XD or Figma
Strong proficiency in developing connected systems and other customerfacing apps.
Knowledge of Progressive Web Applications (PWAs).
Proficiency in UI/UX design with a focus on leveraging data sources like Hotjar and Clarity.
Familiarity with website performance optimization strategies.
Proficiency in website analytics tools such as Google Analytics Google Tag Manager SEO PPC and A/B Testing.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to projectmanage and work to strict deadlines.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a remote team setup.
Exceptional communication skills.
Availability for working during Eastern Time / graveyard shifts.
