Job Title: Technical Writer API and ABI
Job Location: Dallas TX or Tampa FL or McLean VA or Jersey City NJ or Boston MA
Expected Contract Length/Duration: Contract to Hire
Overview:
AP Recruiters is excited to announce an opportunity for a Technical Writer specializing in API and ABI documentation for our client in the Financial Services industry. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite and offers a dynamic work environment where you can thrive and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and best practices on product documentation setup for commercial purposes.
- Review existing documentation and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with UX product engineering and commercial teams to generate and publish content.
- Establish standardized processes and templates for documentation.
- Create various technical documents including product architecture diagrams user guides and workflow diagrams.
- Assist in content generation and production of documents.
- Develop content strategies and documentation plans to support product development.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand enduser needs and incorporate feedback.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer focusing on API and ABI documentation.
- 2 years of experience in a software development role.
- Experience with legacy financial institutions technology and API integration architecture.
- Experience with Blockchain and Web3 technologies.
- Strong understanding of APIs RESTful web services and programming concepts.
- Proficiency with authoring CMS and task management tools.
- Familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger Postman or similar.
- Proficiency with Confluence JIRA and JSON.
- Basic diagramming skills using tools like draw.io Miro or similar.
- Experience with tech stacks like Python MongoDB CDC and Kafka.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in an autonomous environment.
