Location: Crowley Louisiana

Service Setting: Emergency Room (ER)

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Mixed; primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric patients

Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 25700 annual visits (2150 encounters/month)

Case Mix: Emergency Medicine

FACILITY INFORMATION

Annual Volume: 25700 visits

EMR System: EPIC

Support Staff Available: 24 MDs and 12 NPPAs for facility coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: Not specified

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General Emergency Medicine responsibilities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Louisiana state medical license required

Certifications:

ACLS ATLS PALS (required for nonEM boardcertified or boardeligible physicians)

Residency: Must be trained and boarded/board eligible in Emergency Medicine or another specialty

Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required

Board Certification: Acceptable boards include BC/BE in Emergency Medicine or another specialty with required certifications

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver highquality emergency medical care to a diverse patient population

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs APPs and specialty consultants

Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards

Support seamless communication with patients and families
