Job Summary:
A Junior Bookkeeper is responsible for assisting in maintaining financial records ensuring accuracy in accounting processes and supporting senior accounting staff in daily bookkeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter daily financial transactions including purchases sales receipts and payments into accounting software.
- Ensure that all transactions are accurately categorized.
- Assist in reconciling bank statements with company financial records.
- Identify and report any discrepancies.
- Process invoices and payments to vendors.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collection from clients.
- Help prepare financial statements profit & loss reports and balance sheets.
- Assist in monthly and yearly closing procedures.
- Track and categorize business expenses.
- Prepare expense reports and ensure receipts are properly filed.
- Assist in preparing tax documents and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Support digitization of records and ensure backups are up to date.
- Provide assistance to senior accountants and finance managers.
- Respond to financial inquiries from internal departments.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (Bachelors degree preferred).
- 02 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Basic understanding of tax regulations is prefer.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work under pressure is prefer.
