Design and Testing:
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and enhance electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in products.
- Conduct EMC testing to ensure that products meet regulatory standards (such as FCC CE or IEC).
- Design and improve circuits and components to minimize EMI utilizing shielding grounding filtering and other techniques.
Compliance and Certification:
- Ensure that products meet national and international EMC regulatory standards and certifications.
- Prepare documentation and test reports required for compliance certification.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
- Identify sources of EMI and work to mitigate or eliminate them in product designs.
- Investigate EMCrelated failures in systems and develop corrective actions.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with design and development teams to integrate EMC best practices early in the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure components meet EMC standards.
Environmental and Safety Considerations:
- Consider the impact of EMC on the products environment and other systems within the same environment especially in sensitive fields like medical devices aerospace automotive and telecommunications.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of test results analysis and product designs.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations on EMC issues and solutions.
