Environmental Sustainability QHSE Tender Officer

Hybrid function (50/50) between the Corporate Environmental Sustainability Team and the QHSE Prequal & Tender team:

• to support the Corporate Environmental Sustainability Manager in the development and implementation of the Corporate Environmental Sustainability Program including Corporate Environmental Reporting (CSRD) and maintaining Environmental Sustainability related Group certifications & ratings (CO2 performance ladder Ecovadis)
• to support the QHSE Prequal & Tender team in answering prequalification and tender requests by compiling the required QHSE prequalification and/or tender documentation. 

Environnemental Sustainability Support :

• Developing Environmental Sustainability Guidelines as part of the Corporate Environmental Sustainability Program.
• Assisting in the implementation and rollout of the environmental data reporting process. This includes training of internal stakeholders and acting as helpdesk for the business.
• Assisting in the collection verification & validation analysis and reporting of Group environmental related data and performance indicators.
• Preparing sustainability reports and dashboards to identify trends and patterns.
• Providing environmental sustainability trainings and communications.
• Supporting the Business in answering to client specific ESG requests.
• Regulatory monitoring of environmental sustainability regulations (e.g. CSRD EU Taxonomy).
• Overall coordination of the CO2 Performance ladder implementation within the concerned BESIX Group companies. This includes consolidated reporting maintaining the internal & external website and progress monitoring of the BU and entity specific Energy & Carbon reduction programs. Each BU and company is responsible for the daily management of CO2 PL related requirements within their scope.

QHSE Tender & Prequal Support

• To participate in tender kickoff meetings.
• To analyze the client QHSE documentation and QHSE prequel and tender requirements.
• To coordinate with the Bid Manager in relation with the required QHSE documentation.
• To provide QHSE support and input to the Bid Manager during the tender process to ensure the development of the best possible bid.
• To prepare and compile the required QHSE tender documentation within the agreed deadlines.
• To transfer the QHSE tender documentation to the (project) HSE Advisor / (project) Quality Advisor for the obtained projects in order to ensure a smooth startup phase of the new project.

This position is a fixed administrative position within the QHSE Department. Your working location is based in the Head Office in Brussels but occasional remote working is possible from our regional offices. 

Qualifications :

• You have a masters degree in sustainable development or environmental sciences
• Minimum 5 year experience in a similar function
• You are familiar with the principles and practices of sustainable development
• You are fluent in Dutch and English; French speaking is a plus
• Knowledge of rating & certification schemes (such as Ecovadis ISO14064 CO2 PL) is a plus.
• You are Clientoriented
• Administrative/backoffice oriented including data & reporting management
