As a Network Support Engineer you will be part of the Service Delivery team that is responsible for supporting scalable maintainable highly available network architectures.
Since you will support vast and varying internal and external customer profiles as well as troubleshooting and performing customer configurations in a 24x7 work environment we need you to thrive on delivering great customer service.

How You Spend Your Eight Hours
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g. edge devices VPN QoS)
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Coordinate with internal departments and escalate to new levels when cases are taking a long time to resolve.
- Notify management when cases are susceptible to escalating/requiring extra attention or resulting in customer dissatisfaction.
- Provide regular updates to customers as defined by case priorities guidelines.
- Document all troubleshooting and case management actions.
- Provide advanced technical support technical direction and mentoring to staff in the group.
- Adhere to departmental processes and procedures.
What You Must Possess
- Graduate with a bachelors degree in Information Technology BS in Computer Science and other related courses.
- 23 years of experience in Telecommunications/Network Industry in a BPO
- Experience supporting or testing LANs VLANs WLANs VPNs NAT devices &/or DHCP servers
- Handson experience with monitoring network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Handson technical experience with at least three of the following:
- LAN/WAN operations
- Network protocols.
- UNIX or Linux Operating systems
- Networking Hardware
- Attended Certification (preferred but not required):
- CCNA (Cisco certified network associate)
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
- CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert)
- Understand OSI 7 layers in detail and distinguish every layer.
- Identify private IP and public IP ranges subnetting.
- Configure Dynamic/Static IPs
- Able to configure and troubleshoot DHCP.
- Understand access control lists and NAT and can configure and troubleshoot both.
- Able to manage and add firewall policies and troubleshoot them.
- Able to sniff and read packet captures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner as well as independently.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to understand customers use cases expectations and perspectives.
- Selfmotivated goaloriented and meticulous.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
