As our business expands were looking for a skilled and handson Operations Manager to lead our growing Sanctions Operations Team and ensure we continue delivering exceptional service to our customers.
What Youll Be Doing
As an Operations Manager youll play a critical role in driving operational excellence building a highperformance team and ensuring our processes are efficient scalable and customerfocused. Heres how youll contribute:
- Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of 6 Team Leads and 60 Sanctions Agents fostering a highperformance culture through coaching development and performance management.
- Hiring & Growth: Recruit top talent as you build out and expand your team ensuring were equipped to handle increasing demand.
- Demand & Capacity Planning: Own the planning process to ensure we have the right resources to meet customer needs efficiently.
- Service Delivery: Keep your finger on the pulse of all queues ensuring customers receive timely responses and a seamless experience.
- Ownership & Accountability: Take full ownership of operational issues and incidents resolving them effectively while minimizing impact on customers.
- Process Monitoring: Proactively monitor and maintain process controls to ensure consistent performance investigating and addressing any irregularities.
- Crossfunctional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with teams across Product Analytics Engineering and Compliance to align goals and drive continuous improvement.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Develop deep expertise in our processes and tooling becoming a goto resource for operational knowledge.
Qualifications :
About You
Were looking for someone who is:
- Experienced: 35 years of experience leading an Operations Team preferably within Financial Crime.
- A Great Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Accountable: Proven track record of taking individual ownership while also excelling as a collaborative team player.
- ResultsDriven: Experience in setting and achieving team targets with a strong focus on accountability.
- Analytical: Skilled at analyzing forecasting and improving team performance metrics.
- Organized: Strong project management and organizational skills capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptable: Able to work effectively within a complex organization across different cultures and geographies.
Bonus Points
- Experience in Sanctions.
- Additional language skills particularly in jurisdictions where Wise operates.

About the Role
- Location: This position can be based in either Estonia or Hungary. Relocation support is available!
- Starting Salary:
- 3900 EUR gross/monthly in Estonia
- HUF gross/monthly in Hungary
- Reports To: Global Screening Operations Lead
- Start Date: ASAP
