We are currently looking for a Piping QC Inspector.
Location: Sines Portugal
Work Modality: Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Supervise surface preparation activities (abrasive blasting degreasing profiling) ensuring compliance with standards.
- Verify the correct application of coatings (primer intermediate finishes) and adequate dry film thickness (DFT).
- Inspect procedures and international standards (ISO 12944 NACE SSPC ASTM).
- Perform tests: roughness adhesion relative humidity dew point and curing time.
- Record material traceability and prepare detailed inspection reports.
- Identify and report nonconformities and coordinate corrective measures.
- Review and approve inspection procedures and plans (ITP).
- Ensure compliance with project safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
Education:
- Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering Materials Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Piping QC Inspector in industrial projects (preferably Oil & Gas Energy or Hydrogen).
- Proven experience in supervising welding and pressure testing.
Certifications:
- Certification in NonDestructive Testing (NDT) Level II (VT PT MT UT or RT).
- Welding inspection certification (CWI CSWIP or equivalent).
- Solid knowledge of international standards: ASME API EN.
Languages:
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Portuguese is a plus.
