VITA Technical PM IN PERSON IVs ONLY!
ON SITE REQUIRED: 4 days onsite each week


ABOUT THE ROLE:

Goal of this role from Mgr: Ensure Verizon/SAICPMs are staying on track and being able to provide PM reports and updates toleadership. But they also need to understand networking and the techspeak.

No PMP required the technical in data and networking technologies experience will be the key in the success of this role.

VITA has an immediate need of a Technical PM to oversee the VSP Net project/transition from a legacy service to the VDNmanaged platform with Verizon.

Extensive knowledge and experience with Data and Network Monitoring technologies standards and practices for management of the broadband circuit portfolio.

Ability to assist with the Data Networking services lifecycle from strategic planning to operations and financials from a broadband circuit perspective.

Ability to perform Data Networking technology and operational assessments to oversee the Virginia State Police transition project.

Project Management experience and the ability to track milestones/deliverables and report out to VITA leadership.

Experience in managing general network technology projects.

Understands best practices in service management including contract and vendor management in an outsourcing or shared service.

Responsible for responding to and resolving agency and customer escalations

Recommended Knowledge/Experiences:

Experience in State/Agency is a plus. ITIL Foundations certification desirable

Experience deploying and managing multiple location network solutions.
