As the Director of Medicine, you will:
- Lead medical service delivery across inpatient and outpatient care, including General Medicine, Renal, Cardiology, Endocrinology, and other specialty clinics.
- Oversee a 22-bed Medical Ward, Renal & Cancer Care Units, and an ICU/HDU.
- Manage remote and outreach services to Indigenous and rural communities.
- Drive clinical governance, workforce planning, and quality improvement. Mentor and supervise junior doctors, trainees, and medical students.
Be a leader in medicine, drive innovation in rural healthcare, and make a real difference in Queensland s remote communities! What We re Looking For- FRACP (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians) or equivalent. Dual Fellowship (e.g., General Medicine Nephrology, Oncology, Endocrinology, etc.) preferred.
- Experience in leadership, service development, and workforce management.
- Commitment to rural and Indigenous healthcare.
- Strong skills in clinical education, governance, and patient safety initiatives.
