Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform refractions and prescribe glasses and contact lenses.
- Operate ophthalmic diagnostic and investigation equipment (training provided).
- Conduct clinical evaluations of patients.
- Assist doctors during consultations and clinic operations.
- Preoperation and postoperation counseling for patients including financial counseling.
- Handle frontcounter duties including registration dispensing medications collecting payments and appointment scheduling.
- Educate patients about vision care optical aids and maintaining eye health.
- Address patient inquiries and provide exceptional service.
- Ensure equipment is in good condition and maintain accurate medical records.
- Perform general administrative duties related to submission and logistics workflows.
Requirements
- Fully Registered (FullReg) with the Singapore Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) is preferred.
- Diploma or Degree in Optometry.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage.
- High level of integrity professionalism and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passionate friendly patient and cheerful disposition.
