Job Description
Applications Engineering Manager
We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineering Manager to lead a team of Applications Engineers for a stable and expanding manufacturer with over 70 years of success. This position is for a $150M division of a $5B diversified global manufacturer. The role involves leading a team of 57 engineers in a dynamic fastpaced environment serving as the primary liaison between sales/customers and engineering. The ideal candidate will be projectfocused managing both existing product lines and modifications to improve customer experience and product performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Applications Engineering Team ensuring excellent customer interaction and responsiveness.
Oversee the expense budget and ensure financial goals are met.
Drive corrective actions for customer quality and performance issues.
Develop business cases for new opportunities.
Provide insights for new product development and modifications to existing product lines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in an engineeringrelated field (strongly preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
5 years of engineeringrelated experience.
Strong project management skills and experience required.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement initiatives preferred.
Knowledge of blending mixing and extrusion processes preferred.
