Job Description

About the Role

As an Audit Manager you will manage a diverse charityspecific client portfolio overseeing workflow and delivering exceptional service. You will play a pivotal role in supporting charitable organisations and making a tangible impact on the communities they serve.

Key Responsibilities

Client and Audit Management

  • Oversee planning prioritisation and delivery of audit work to ensure efficient workflows and adherence to agreed budgets.
  • Manage a portfolio of charity and notforprofit clients ensuring compliance with Charity SORP UK GAAP and ISA requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for client queries delivering proactive valueadded advice.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address client needs across other service areas such as tax and advisory.
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met including AML KYC reviews and engagement letters.
  • Oversee the work and development of junior members of staff.
  • Help further develop the practice s charity audit offering.

Requirements

Charity & NFP Audit Manager Canterbury

We are looking for a qualified accountant who thrives in audit and shares our passion for supporting the charity and notforprofit sector. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Qualified: ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in statutory audit.
  • Sector Specialist: Knowledge and experience of Charity SORP is essential.
  • Experienced: Previous responsibility for a portfolio of clients including preparation and review of charity accounts.
  • ClientFocused: Strong client service and communication skills.
  • Organised: Excellent time management attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Collaborative: A team player with strong mentoring and leadership abilities.

ACA/ACCA studying or qualified by experience Experience in audit fieldwork, or potentially planning audits. Client-facing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
