Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Business Officer (CBO) to lead our business development efforts particularly in the government sector. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in business development with handson experience in government sales. The CBO will be responsible for driving the companys growth strategy leading the business development team and achieving our ambitious goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Analysis and Expansion:
Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends opportunities and competitive landscape
2. Sales Strategy and Execution
Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategy to achieve the company s revenue generation goals.
3. Team Leadership and Management:
Recruit train guide and manage a highperforming Business Development team across various regions in India
4. Pipeline Development:
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to ensure continuous growth and revenue generation.
5. Revenue Collection and Financial Management:
Develop and implement plans for sales targets and revenue collection including managing trade receivables.
6. Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
Develop and manage the business development budget ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Establish performance metrics and regularly monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development activities.
7. Implement Tools and Software:
Based on the business requirement deploy CRM and other automated tools for Business and Client management.
8. Performance Analysis and Reporting:
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Prepare and present regular business development reports and forecasts to the CEO.
9. New Product Line Development:
Actively collaborate with management and R&D leads in developing new product lines and innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: MBA or equivalent advanced degree is required.
- Experience: 15 years of experience in business development with a proven track record of success. Experience in government sales will be a huge advantage.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Sales of High Value Products in Sanitation sector is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a highperforming business development team.
- Strategic Thinker: Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities to drive business performance and growth.
- Communication: Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders.
- B2G Experience: Demonstrated experience in the B2G sales model and government procurement processes.
