Position: VDOT Enterprise Data Modeler
Location: Richmond VA (23219)
Client: State of Virginia
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Data Modeler with expertise in developing data models for a cloudbased data management platform. The ideal candidate will analyze business needs create conceptual and physical data models and ensure data governance and quality across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create conceptual data models and visualize key business entities and their relationships.
- Translate business requirements into logical and physical data models.
- Perform data profiling and analysis to maintain and optimize data models.
- Establish governance processes for corporate metadata and enforce naming standards.
- Develop strategies for data security backup and regulatory compliance.
Technical Skills Required:
- 10 years in data modeling and business analysis.
- Proficient in SQL Python R and Scala.
- Experience with Azure Synapse SQL Server Snowflake Databricks.
- Knowledge of MDM toolkits and data integration challenges.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder presentations.
