Job Title: CNC Engineer
Location: Decatur Illinois Onsite
Job Description:
- The CNC Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating developing and executing manufacturing schedules to the set objectives.
- Supports daily activities in process developments validation activities and change management.
- In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems develop & execute objectives & have the ability to meet company objectives within the time lines specifically related to your assigned projects.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Insures direct communication between the crossfunctional team members and their associated counterparts within the customer organization.
- Ability to update CAD CREO ProE files where applicable.
- Coordinate prepare and help execute DOEs per the Matrix output.
- Coordinate targeted operational deficiency data gathering per field follow schedule.
- Identify Tooling updates where applicable to Industry best practices and technology.
- Support and implement CNC operational updates and Casting Clean Up initiatives.
- Support and help implement process improvements.
- Support on Kaizen and other initiatives and target Shopfloor practice updates.
- Review and Identify Fixturing set up deficiencies where applicable.
- Review and capture InProcess Validation Steps being utilized and identify cycle times associated.
- Provide process improvements concepts to the InProcess Validation Steps with current technologies.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience is required developing programs and machining products.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- B.S in Engineering Technical Practice or Equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering quality or Production and Manufacturing Operations in a Automotive or related industry.
- Experience with AIAG and ISO 9001 Standards
- Ability to support the development and execution of continues improvement initiatives.
- Has knowledge in CNC Machining Welding Processes and Quality Control.
- Is a self starter and can execute assigned projects with minimal supervision.

- Ability to program Siemens NX Code (Unigraphics)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Capability to work in teams
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
- CAD CREO or ProE proficiency.
