Job Description
Job Title: PCT Patent Analyst (Biotech)
Job Location: Chandler AZ USA

About You – Experience Education Skills And Accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry Microbiology or Biotechnology
- At least 1 year of previous patent examining or patent searching experience
- At least 1 year of experience developing search methodology and conducting searches using databases such as Orbit Derwent Innovation Google Scholar Google Patents PubMed
- Must be a U.S. citizen or workeligible legal resident who has continuously resided in the U.S. for at least the two previous years
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Master’s or PhD
- At least 3 years of previous patent examining or patent searching experience
- Indepth knowledge of technical literature in the areas of engineering software and business methods
- Demonstrated work experience in roles requiring a high level of attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and dependability in completing quality projects against deadlines
- On a weekly basis accept projects with a defined due date
- Demonstrate the ability to read a disclosure quickly and understand the technical nuances which may potentially distinguish it from the prior art
- Perform a comprehensive search to ensure the most relevant prior art is located and provide a logical and complete search history
- Prepare a written opinion applying the most relevant prior art to the disclosure
- Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and other proprietary databases of technical publications
- Stay abreast of best practices and changes to search procedures via selfdirected review of materials provided by Clarivate
- Maintain consistent timeliness and superior quality of deliverables
- Ensure compliance with Clarivate’s Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct
Our team has supported the USPTO by providing PCT Chapter I Search and Examination services since 2005 (formerly as Landon IP and CPA Global).
Hours of Work
This is a fulltime permanent position
This position is fully remote working in the United States
Compensation US Only
The expected base salary for this position is a base salary of $55000 USD per year with eligibility for productivity earnings. Individual pay is based upon experience education skill and ability expertise and relevant factors.
