We are seeking a driven selfmotivated medical professional with a dynamic personality who requires minimal supervision to join our team as a practitioner on a full or parttime basis. Candidates must be passionate about helping others dependable and hardworking with an outstanding work ethic. Additionally you must be willing to help cover at our other 3 clinics if needed.
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with the clinic physician according to the medical protocol set forth by the MediWeightloss corporate office.
With general direction you will provide patient care conduct physical exams complete health history summaries document patient progress and assist with patient care management.
The environment is fastpaced and the position is multifaceted.
Essential Job Functions:
- Obtain and review patients medical and psychosocial history information relevant to patient care.
- Conduct physical examinations.
- Order and review laboratory studies as well as diagnostic procedures including EKGs phlebotomy injection administration IV therapy and metabolic breathing analysis.
- Assume responsibility for prescribing and dispensing FDAapproved appetite suppressants according to state and federal guidelines.
- Review patients progress and manage patient care accordingly.
- Maintain all required documentation for patient care and medication management.
- Counsel patients on a weekly basis on nutrition exercise and lifestyle choices to ensure weight loss and maintenance of recommended weight.
Nonessential Job Functions:
- Provide training to clinical and nonclinical staff as needed.
- Document patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR.
- Conduct consultations with patients regarding the MediWeightloss program.
- Perform other clinical duties as required.
- Communicate and outreach to referral physicians.
- Conduct followup calls to patients to discuss their progress and address any concerns.
- Provide ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success.
