Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Developer with a minimum of six (6) years of experience to join our team. In this role you will design develop maintain and support new and existing application solutions while ensuring their optimal performance and alignment with business requirements. This position involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams architects and stakeholders to deliver highquality software solutions.
This is a 6 month contract with potential to extend up to 24 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop enhance and maintain applications in alignment with business needs.
- Analyze design and implement application architecture and system components.
- Collaborate with architects to ensure appropriate technology solutions.
- Perform quality assurance activities including code reviews and system testing.
- Create and maintain databases including stored procedures and version control.
- Document code system configurations and operational guides.
- Provide production support and resolve application issues promptly.
- Contribute to the integration of thirdparty tools and applications.
- Adhere to established development standards and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 6 years of experience in application development maintenance and support.
- 5 years as a PowerBuilder Developer.
- 3 years of experience with relational database design development and analysis.
- 2 years maintaining and enhancing legacy applications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server including stored procedures and database administration.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Team Foundation Server).
- Strong knowledge of ntier technology platforms information security and enterpriselevel applications.
- Excellent communication analytical and problemsolving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with .NET programming and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Familiarity with cloudbased services (e.g. Azure AWS) and database tools.
- Background in migrating Sybase to SQL Server.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Expertise in PowerBuilder/MSSQL application enhancements and integration.
