Electrical Project Engineer
Role Overview
The Project Engineer Electrical Engineering is a critical role responsible for managing the electrical engineering aspects of multidisciplinary construction and renewable energy projects. This includes highvoltage (HV) lowvoltage (LV) protection and control (P&C) and commissioning systems. Reporting directly to the Project Manager the successful candidate will ensure that all electrical works are delivered safely efficiently and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
The role requires technical expertise in electrical engineering strong problemsolving skills and the ability to collaborate with design teams contractors and stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
7. Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with clients consultants and regulatory bodies on electrical engineering matters.
Represent the company at project meetings providing updates on electrical progress and challenges.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support project success.
8. Value Engineering and Innovation
Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project efficiency and costeffectiveness.
Stay uptodate with the latest technologies and best practices in HV LV P&C and commissioning systems.
Skills and Experience
Education:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Professional accreditation (e.g. IET membership CEng status) is highly desirable.
Experience:
Proven experience in electrical engineering roles within the construction renewable energy or utility sectors.
Strong knowledge of HV and LV systems protection and control systems and commissioning processes.
Experience with site supervision and managing contractors for electrical installations.
Skills:
Technical expertise in HV/LV systems protection relays SCADA and control systems.
Strong organisational and timemanagement skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
