Job Description

Part Time Care Assistant Days. The Oaks Care Home

  • Shift Hours: 8am 8pm
  • Work Schedule: 2 shifts per week
  • Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour

Situated in Newtown Powys this luxurious 73bed purposebuilt nursing and residential home opened in January 2020 and offers stateoftheart facilities. These include a coffee shop/bistro hair & nail salon activities room landscaped gardens and advanced care technology.

Your Role as a Care Assistant Days:

As a Care Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting the physical emotional and social wellbeing of our residents during the day. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Personalized Support: Assisting residents with personal care routines such as bathing dressing and mobility while respecting their dignity and independence.
  • Meal Assistance: Supporting residents during meal times ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
  • Engagement and Activities: Encouraging residents to participate in hobbies social events and daily activities to enrich their lives.
  • Health Monitoring: Observing and recording any changes in residents’ health or behavior and promptly reporting concerns to senior staff.
  • Environmental Standards: Maintaining cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere in residents’ rooms and communal areas.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues to ensure all residents receive consistent highquality care.
  • Ongoing Learning: Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.
