Job Description
Your Mission:
We are seeking an Experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the technical capabilities of one of our major clients Design Authority (DA) near Helensburgh. This role is perfect for those with a background in Mechanical Design though candidates with experience in Mechanical Installation or Maintenance are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical excellence in specifying producing and assessing design packages for infrastructure.
- Define reliability and operational constraints for infrastructure systems.
- Assess work control procedures for infrastructure maintenance.
- Evaluate infrastructure design material state and ageing mechanisms to ensure continued safe operation of facilities.
- Promote a robust safety and security culture in all work practices.
- Act as an intelligent customer ensuring safetyrelated contracts meet all requirements.
Position Requirements:
Essential:
- Extensive experience in mechanical engineering with knowledge of mechanical systems like pump systems cranes HVAC pressure systems and diesel generators.
- Experience in the nuclear or other highhazard industries (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to develop practical creative and costeffective solutions for design changes/modifications to plant infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of British and international design standards.
- Proven ability to make evidencebased decisions using multiple data sources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize your workload.

Qualifications :
Key Requirements for the role:
- HNC or equivalent qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Detailed knowledge of the Design Intent for mechanical/electronic Infrastructure within the nuclear or a similar highhazard industry.
Desirable:
- Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience.
- Degree or equivalent qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline.
