Senior Electrical Engineer - Design Buildings

Job Overview

Our organization requires a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in design analysis and project management of electrical systems for commercial residential or industrial projects. The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of team leadership delivery of highquality solutions and strict adherence to relevant standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical System Design & Analysis

    

   • Spearhead the design and development of critical electrical power distribution lighting and lowvoltage systems.
   • Execute precise load calculations shortcircuit analyses and protection coordination studies.
   • Ensure unwavering compliance with local and international standards (e.g. IEC IEEE NEC).

2. Project Management

    

   • Assume full responsibility for multiple projects from conception to completion ensuring strict adherence to project timelines and budgets.
   • Orchestrate collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (MEP architects structural engineers) to coordinate design requirements and resolve complex technical issues.
   • Conduct formal project kickoff meetings rigorous progress reviews and comprehensive final handover sessions.

3. Technical Leadership

    

   • Provide authoritative mentorship and guidance to junior engineers drafters and BIM modelers.
   • Conduct thorough reviews of design documents BOQs and technical specifications prepared by the engineering team.
   • Implement and enforce best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.

4. Compliance & Quality Assurance

    

   • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry trends codes and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
   • Execute critical site visits for inspections commissioning and troubleshooting.
   • Rigorously evaluate and approve electrical equipment vendor submissions.

5. Client & Stakeholder Engagement

    

   • Facilitate seamless project execution through strategic coordination with clients contractors and suppliers.
   • Actively participate in client meetings and design reviews providing expert technical counsel.
   • Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships by consistently delivering highquality costeffective solutions.

Qualifications :

Qualifications & Skills

• Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
  • Masters Degree in a related field is highly preferred.

• Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of extensive relevant work experience in electrical engineering is required with a strong preference for candidates with 12 or more years of experience in medium to largescale projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and highperforming teams is essential.

• Technical Expertise

  • Advanced proficiency in industrystandard design software including but not limited to AutoCAD Revit ETAP and Dialux is imperative.
  • Comprehensive understanding of power distribution systems lighting design control systems and grounding methodologies is crucial.
  • Indepth knowledge of and strict adherence to safety standards and codes (IEC NEC IEEE and local regulations) is nonnegotiable.

• Professional Competencies

  • Exceptional leadership abilities coupled with superior communication skills and advanced problemsolving capabilities are essential.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage crossfunctional teams and coordinate with diverse stakeholders is critical.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational skills are paramount.

• Professional Certifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or comparable project management certification is highly advantageous.
