Sophia Fachmann Regional Medical Partner NorthrhineWestfalia Germany

Born and raised in Hungary Sophia studied veterinary medicine in Budapest and graduated in 2011. After several years in different clinics and practices she became an expert veterinary advisory with the pet food chain company Fressnapf. She joined AniCura in May 2024 as Regional Medical Partner. Shes currently enrolled at the Maples Centre for Forensic Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. Her main interests are forensic science exotic animals especially fish and animal welfare.

Sophia lives in Dsseldorf with her partner and two dogs Coco and Mochi. She loves nature hiking and crocheting.

Marie Deutsch Employer Branding Specialist Germany

As Employer Branding Specialist for AniCura Germany Marie has a broad understanding of what AniCura has to offer as an employer in Germany. Meet her at our booth to learn more about your career opportunities learning & development working conditions and specific opportunities to join or get to know AniCura Germany (e.g. the paid Internship Program or Career Days).

Having considered to study veterinary medicine and then chosen something else Marie loves shadowing vets and nurses in our hospitals and the fact she can use her background in Business Administration to shape the future of veterinary care.

In her free time she enjoys traveling cooking art and of course cuddling pets.

Katarina Karlsson Employer Reputation & Early Talent Manager

Katarina Karlsson is an experienced HR professional with a strong background in employer branding recruitment and talent acquisition. With a Masters degree in animal science from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences Katarina has a passion for the veterinary industry where she works to shape AniCuras employer brand and attract top talent across multiple markets.

Katarina joined AniCura in 2021 where she has led several strategic initiatives including optimizing recruitment processes and systems like Workday. She is particularly focused on early talent programs developing strategies to engage university students and foster longterm relationships with emerging talent.
