Roles and responsibilities
A Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing QA strategies and test plans while leading and mentoring QA teams. Ensure adherence to quality processes and perform various types of evaluation (functional, regression, integration, performance). This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, identifying potential risks, conducting root cause analysis, and maintaining compliance with international standards. Additionally, they oversee audit processes, manage defect tracking, provide QA reports, and continuously seek to improve QA practices by integrating new tools and methodologies. The engineer is also responsible for ensuring that the product meets the required standards before release, along with providing the surveillance of the international standard certifications at the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing QA Strategy and Internal Audit Plans.
- Design and implement quality assurance strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Create detailed Audit Plans, Audits objectives of each function.
Defining and Maintaining QA Processes
- Establish and maintain QA standards and processes to ensure consistency and reliability in testing.
- Define QMS KPIs frameworks for better efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, EHS).
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
- Provide feedback to operations teams on the impact of changes or updates to the product or process to understand along with understanding their requirements and ensure quality objectives are met.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the lifecycle.
Risk Management and Issue Escalation
- Identify potential risks and create mitigation plans to prevent quality issues.
- Proactively raise critical issues or risks to upper management when required, suggesting viable solutions.
Audit and Compliance
- Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established quality standards and certifications.
- Maintain documentation for quality processes, tests, and results for future reference and audits.
Metrics and Reporting
- Analyze quality metrics to assess the effectiveness of QA activities and make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare and present detailed QA reports to Quality Director, highlighting areas for improvement and successes.
Continuous Improvement
- Train employees in problem-solving techniques like root cause analysis, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies.
- Enable teams to identify process bottlenecks, analyze issues, and implement data-driven solutions to improve process performance.
- Ensure clear documentation, better tracking of progress, and access to relevant metrics for informed decision-making.
Desired candidate profile

Qualifications:
- Process Improvement Methodologies: Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, and Continuous Improvement techniques. (FMEA – CAPA – etc.)
- Risk Management: Understanding risk-based testing principles.
- Compliance Standards: Knowledge of industry regulations (e.g., ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze QA metrics and generate reports.
- Experience mentoring and managing QA engineers, providing guidance on testing strategies, and overseeing QA team efforts.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in this field.
