Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing maintaining and improving mechanical systems and machinery. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical failures implementing preventive maintenance and ensuring the efficient operation of equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical design equipment installation and performance optimization.
- Perform routine maintenance inspections and repairs on mechanical equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and reports.
- Design and improve mechanical components and systems.
- Develop technical specifications for new machinery and equipment purchases.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide technical support to production and operations teams.
- Optimize equipment performance to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Implement energyefficient solutions and costsaving initiatives.
- Train staff on proper equipment usage and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure that all mechanical systems comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures.
- Keep up to date with industry standards and technological advancements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and costbenefit analysis for mechanical projects.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering preferably in industrial equipment and machinery.
- Experience in CAD software (AutoCAD SolidWorks etc.) and mechanical analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design hydraulics pneumatics and thermodynamics.
- Experience with maintenance planning and reliability engineering.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ISO ASME ASTM etc.).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Detailoriented with a proactive approach to problemsolving.
