Position Overview
The Senior Manager Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for identifying developing and managing key strategic partnerships that align with the TSL Foundations mission and objectives. This role will involve working with a diverse range of stakeholders including corporate partners foundations government agencies and other nonprofits to drive collaborative initiatives and secure funding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partnership management business development and an understanding of the nonprofit landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership Development: Lead the identification and cultivation of new strategic partnerships that align with TSL Foundations mission and expand its network. This includes exploring corporate partnerships foundations government agencies and multisector collaborations.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong longterm relationships with key stakeholders ensuring a deep understanding of their goals needs and expectations. Manage partner engagement across various stages from initiation to ongoing stewardship.
- Fundraising and Resource Mobilization: Collaborate with the fundraising team to secure funding through partnerships sponsorships and grants. Create tailored partnership proposals and negotiate partnership agreements to maximize financial and inkind support.
- Program Development: Work closely with internal teams to ensure the design and implementation of joint programs or initiatives with partners. Ensure that these programs deliver measurable impact aligned with the foundations goals.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of partnership outcomes. Regularly report on partnership performance impact and ROI to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g. Communications Programs Finance) to ensure smooth execution of partnership initiatives and that all stakeholder needs are met.
- Market Research & Trend Analysis: Stay informed about trends in the nonprofit sector potential new partners and opportunities for collaboration. Provide recommendations on new partnership avenues and strategies.
- Leadership & Team Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior staff providing leadership within the partnerships team. Contribute to team strategy capacity building and professional development.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Nonprofit Management International Relations or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 710 years of experience in partnership management business development or a related field with at least 35 years in a senior management role within the nonprofit sector.
- Proven track record of developing managing and sustaining strategic partnerships ideally within the nonprofit or social impact sector.
- Experience with corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs foundation partnerships and government collaborations is a plus.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation and partnershipbuilding skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate the foundations mission into compelling partnership opportunities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A passion for the mission and values of the TSL Foundation.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with partners attend events and explore new opportunities.
