Quality Control Inspector

• Location: Tuas Singapore
• Working days: 5 days rotating shift
  
• Salary: $2000$2700 plus allowance and overtime pay

Job Description

• Perform hardness testing drift checks size measurements and material condition assessments during incoming inspections
• Conduct final inspection checks including finished dimensions stamping and hardness evaluations
• Execute firstpiece inspections during inprocess machining operations
• Verify measurements on components during inprocess machining operations
• Compile inspection data into Inspection Test Plans (ITP) or Final Inspection Reports (FIR)
• Generate incident reports for any defects identified during inspections
• Assist with the completion of routing sheets for traceability and retrieval purposes
• Verify and evaluate customer return defects
• Support the Quality Engineer with the verification of Incident Reports
• Responsible for setting and verifying gauges for production processes

An ITP (Inspection test plan) is an inspection checklist of required inspections.

What is used to test hardness
The three most commonly used are the Brinell test Vickers Diamond test and the Rockwell test.

The salary range for Malaysians we are looking at S$2000 to S$2500.

If Singaporean/PR then we can raised the limit to S$2700.

We are looking for candidates who have experience in checking metal machining and have engineering sense can interpret drawing.

For race Indian and Chinese will be preferred. We already have 2 Malays in the team. We worry that they will want to apply leave together during Hari Raya. Another staff is Indian staff.
