Job Description

Nine Melbourne are on the lookout for new talent to join our Casual Marketing Team for upcoming events. 

The Casual Marketing Team is a vital part of Nines national marketing strategy designed to support the promotion of our programs in the community. Being a part of this team will give you invaluable insight into community marketing and brand activations and get a foot in the door with Australias largest locally owned media company.

Please note this is a casual position. All candidates will need to be available for the first event of the year from March 6th 10th. There is a possibility of continuing casual work after this but this is not guaranteed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interacting with the public in a professional and lively manner while facilitating the Channel 9 activation
  • Engaging with Channel 9 brands such as 9News and The Block to promote them to the public
  • Setting up/packing down event activations note this role may require some manual labour and heavy lifting 
  • Following event briefs taking photos for postcampaign reports and completing event feedback forms 
  • Liaising with clients and partners at events 
  • Working closely with talent 
  • Ensuring that brand integrity is maintained at all times

Qualifications :

As this is a shortterm role it would suit a current university student and/or someone with another part time or casual job. Previous history in promotional work and events will be advantageous.

The successful candidate will need:

  • Availability from March 6th 10th.
  • A passion for television and the wider media industry
  • To be wellpresented energetic and comfortable chatting to anyone 
  • Exceptional communication problemsolving and timemanagement skills
  • A proven ability to work under pressure and prioritise
  • Experience working in a team environment 
  • A willingness to get your hands dirty and help with whatever is needed to make an event successful 
  • A current Victorian drivers licence
  • A current Victorian Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one)
