Job Description

Position: Shift Supervisor

Company Overview:

HR Recruiting Services is a leading recruitment agency specializing in connecting top talent with leading companies in various industries. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor for our client in Jackson MS

Position Overview:

As a Shift Supervisor you will oversee the daily operations of our clients business. You will ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively while maintaining high customer satisfaction. This is a fulltime permanent position with opportunities for growth and development within the company.

Must be able to work rotating shifts: (7AM to 7PM /7PM to 7AM rotating every 3 months)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of employees including scheduling training and performance evaluations
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels ensuring that all products are adequately stocked
  • Ensure that all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient communication
  • Create and maintain shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance address any concerns and provide updates on company policies and procedures
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Education Experience Skills and Abilities:

  1. MSHA Part 46 training (24hour course) before starting position. Training is on safety and sitespecific hazards
  2. ISO training
  3. Has basic reading and writing.
  4. Ability to solve practical problems (if/then logic) & troubleshoot.
  5. Be an example for all in fairness and equitable treatment of each employee
  6. Encourage ownership of the operator areas with your people
  7. Make sure your expectations are communicated clearly to your people
  8. Recognize situations where certain team members are not performing as they should or not getting the desired results
  9. Have a conversation with the individuals concerning their performance keep under lock and document their files.
  10. Always contact the appropriate persons when there are issues immediately rather than waiting till later Show and demonstrate ownership of your shift and business Demonstrate a standard by which others are measured by
  11. Take on the accountability for your shift and their performance
  12. Demonstrate decisiveness
