Job Description
Our client a fastgrowing healthcare technology company dedicated to transforming the industry through cuttingedge automation and datadriven solutions is looking for a Senior Python Developer with an AIfirst mindset. The company specializes in streamlining EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) workflows optimizing healthcare operations and improving patient outcomes.

About the Role:
As a Senior Python Developer youll automate Healthcare EDI workflows using Python and emerging LLM tools (e.g. Code Llama OpenAI).
This role involves building refining and integrating solutions for data validation parsing and secure exchange of healthcare data.
Youll collaborate with product and data teams leveraging tools like Mirth (or similar) for EDI transactions while experimenting with new AI
solutions to drive innovation. You will be playing a crucial role in building scalable highperformance solutions that enhance efficiency in healthcare data processing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Utilize LLMs (e.g. Code Llama OpenAI) to generate and iterate on Python code for EDI workflow
- Evaluate and refine AIgenerated solutions for optimal performance maintainability and accuracy
- Architect design and implement custom Pythonbased solutions when AIgenerated outputs need refinement or fall short
- Develop and maintain processes for data validation parsing and transformation of EDI transactions
- Integrate and configure Mirth or similar EDI tools to streamline data exchange workflows
- Create robust validation frameworks to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Implement automated testing strategies to catch errors and maintain high data quality standards
- Work closely with product managers healthcare data experts and DevOps to align technical solutions with business goals
- Participate in code reviews share knowledge and mentor junior developers
- Stay current with AI/ML trends Python best practices and emerging technologies in healthcare EDI
- Experiment with new tools and techniques to continuously improve automation and workflow efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 6 years of professional Python development (experience building robust productionlevel applications)
- Demonstrable AI/ML exposurefamiliarity with codegeneration tools LLMs or related libraries
- Proficiency in Python frameworks/libraries (Flask FastAPI Pandas etc.)
- Strong understanding of EDI standards (e.g. X12) and data exchange protocols
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security best practices
Would be a plus:
- Prior experience in healthcare technology and EDI workflows
- Experience with Mirth or other healthcare integration engines
- Cloud services experience (AWS Azure or GCP) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes)
