Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Prepare and pour beverages on a cash and host basis
- Prompt efficient and courteous service of beverages
- Create an upbeat energetic and fun atmosphere
- Handle cash wine sales
- Prepare consumption sheets and cash out
- Account for stock (inventory control)
- Clean bar and storage spaces
- Suggest up selling of food and beverage to guests
- Provide information and guidance to guests
- Balance cash at end of shift
- Other duties as assigned
- Hourly rate of $25.05 to $28.63
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum of two (2) years recent (in the last 5 years) fulltime experience in the preparation pouring and service of beverages
- Completely fluent English language skills both written and verbal
- Serving It Right and Food Safe Certification
- Thorough knowledge of cocktail trends knowledge of classic cocktails and preparations
- Working knowledge of standard bar equipment
- Completion of a practical bartending test
- Excellent organizational skills with the proven ability to perform well with minimal supervision
- A high level of responsibility and commitment with proven success in relationship building
- Driven focus on upselling
- Ability to observe and detect guests to provide prompt service
- Impeccable grooming and presentation
- Must be bondable
Additional Information :
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking Frequent bending and kneeling Frequent carrying and lifting
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
